Two different ways to tell a story with flowers: a character brought to life through botanical detail, and a fireplace transformed by cascading color. Art Flowers LA created both installations for Fleurs de Villes THE GILDED AGE at Greystone Mansion & Gardens in Beverly Hills.
The exhibition ran from October 28 through November 4, 2026. Here is a closer look at our Jack Trotter mannequin and floral fireplace, photographed by Veronica Photography.
Jack Trotter: character through botanical detail
Our Jack Trotter mannequin brings a tailored silhouette into the world of floral design. A pale apron and dark vest create a strong contrast, while blue floral accents draw the eye from the neckline to the clock at the base. Greenery and soft-colored blooms surround the figure, connecting the costume to its floral setting.

The details reward a closer look. Folded botanical material gives the hair its sculpted shape, adding texture to a figure that reads clearly from across the room. The floral clock becomes a second focal point, balancing the portrait above it.

A floral fireplace at Greystone Mansion
For our second installation, we worked with the fireplace as the frame of the composition. Flowers and greenery rise along one side of the mantel, then flow down toward the floor. The open space around the carved stone keeps the architecture visible.

Red anthuriums punctuate the greenery, while blush roses and hydrangeas soften the palette. Burgundy accents and branching lines add movement. Seen together, the full installation and its close-up details show how color, texture and scale can change the feeling of a familiar architectural feature.

Floral design for your own event
These two installations show different possibilities for event flowers: an expressive focal piece and a floral composition shaped around a venue. If you are planning a celebration or event, explore our event flowers and decor in Los Angeles.
